How To Apply Decals Over Dip Powder

Check out my favorite way to apply decals over dip powder! This is a good method especially if you are already using gel topcoat over your dip manis.

Waterslide decals are a super fun and easy way to get intricate nail designs! Just soak the decal in water for 10-20 seconds, place on your nail, and top coat! Decals show up best when placed on a white background.

Supplies

• All The Girly Things Waterslide Decals by Designs by Beautiful Disaster Nails
• Small ramekin filled with water
• Scissors
• Tweezers
• Sparkle & Co. Luxe Nails Gel Base
• Sparkle & Co. Luxe Nails No Wipe Gel Topcoat
• LED Curing Lamp
• Dip Base & Activator
• Dip Powder

Instructions

1. Starting on a prepped nails/overlay/peel base, apply dip base and white dip powder. Repeat.
2. Apply a healthy amount of activator.
3. File and buff.
4. Cut out the desired decal as closely to the image as possible.
5. Place the decal in the ramekin filled with water for 10-20 seconds or until the image slides off the paper.
6. Apply a very thin dab of gel base to the are the decal be placed.
7. Gently pick up the the edge of the decal using tweezers.
8. Place the decal on your nail. A clear jelly stamper can also be used to place the decal.
9. Flash cure for 15 seconds.
10. Apply a thin coat of gel base to all nails and cure for 60 seconds.
11. Apply a thin coat of gel topcoat to all nails and cure for 60 seconds.
